About the Products

I tend to be rather eclectic when it comes to my crafting materials.  I use Stampin' Up! products for all of my inks and most of my papers.  My rubber and acrylic stamps come from all over, and as such I have an enormous collection that can be used for almost any occasion.  The tiles I use for my coasters and trivets are obtained from hardware stores.  I prefer Fire Mountain Gems and Gem Mall for my jewelry supplies.  Fabric paints usually come from the nearest craft store.

Company FAQs

Who's running this show?

I am.  My name is Melissa Schuman; I'm the owner and currently sole employee of the company.  I live in East Greenbush, NY with my husband.

If my child uses this website on a Thursday, he can make the crafts displayed, right?

No.  That is not what the company name means.  It has nothing to do with children making crafts on Thursdays.

Oh . . . then what does it mean?

A few things.  First, it's a nod to the children's days of the week poem, specifically the line "Thursday's Child has far to go."  Sort of an ambitious hope that this company will take me far.  Second, I am quite literally a Thursday's child - I was born on a Thursday.  Lastly, "Thursday's Child" by David Bowie (from his 2000 Hours album) is one of my favorite songs.

Why does (insert product here) cost (insert price here)?

It's a calculation of cost of materials, plus labor, plus overhead to enable me to continue doing this, with retail price of similar commercial products taken into account.  Also, to keep the state of New York happy, all prices include all taxes.
